今週は、新たにボトルキープのラインナップに仲間入りした 「MONKEY SHOULDER（モンキーショルダー）」 のご紹介です。

モンキーショルダーは、スコットランド・スペイサイド地方を代表する3つのシングルモルトをブレンドして造られた、珍しいブレンデッドモルトウイスキーです。

名前の「モンキーショルダー」は、かつてモルト職人が大麦を手作業で返していた時代に生まれた肩の職業病に由来しており、ウイスキー造りへの敬意が込められています。

香りはバニラやハチミツ、オレンジを思わせる甘く華やかな印象。口当たりはとてもなめらかで、モルトの豊かな甘みとほのかなスパイス感が心地よく広がります。

ストレートやロックはもちろん、ハイボールでもおいしく楽しめる一本です。

このたびボトルキープのラインナップにも加わりました。

お気に入りの一本として、いつでもお帰りをお待ちするウイスキーになれたら嬉しいです。

This week I’d like to introduce Monkey Shoulder, the latest addition to our bottle keep selection.

Monkey Shoulder is a unique blended malt Scotch whisky, created by marrying three single malts from Scotland’s Speyside region.

Its name comes from “monkey shoulder,” an old occupational injury suffered by malt men who spent long hours turning barley by hand. Today, it serves as a tribute to the craftsmen who helped shape Scotch whisky.

On the nose, you’ll find inviting aromas of vanilla, honey, and orange. The palate is wonderfully smooth, with rich malt sweetness followed by a gentle touch of spice.

It’s a whisky that’s just as enjoyable neat or on the rocks as it is in a refreshing highball.

We’re happy to welcome Monkey Shoulder to our bottle keep lineup, and we hope it might become one of those bottles you’ll always look forward to coming back to.
